 JHouse Refuge Ltd was founded by three women with one belief: every woman and child deserves a safe place to call home.

When women and children flee domestic and family violence, they often leave with little more than the clothes they are wearing. 

Founded on Christian values of love, mercy and respect, we are committed to creating a safe, trauma-informed environment where every person is treated with kindness and without judgement, regardless of their background or beliefs.

At JHouse Refuge ltd., our mission is to provide safe, short-term emergency accommodation for women and children escaping domestic and family violence. We are committed to creating a secure, trauma informed environment where individuals can access vital supports - including safety planning, case management, emotional care, and referrals to legal, financial, and housing services - as they begin their journey toward long-term stability and recovery.

A future where every woman and child can live free from family and domestic violence, having access to safety, encouraging a hopeful future, healing of the body, mind and soul, and the opportunity to build and independent and fulfilling life.
